Jamming is this Artists forte', as other musicians have said that Jodawg could play with anybody, and compliment their music. With easily understood lyrics, and all original, melodic Guitar based music, Mountaindawg is gaining popularity fast. Mtndawg aka Jodawg performs both with a band, and Solo/Acoustic. Jodawg's lyrics are often about serious subjects, yet the songs are uplifting, addictive and dance-able. Live performances are fun filled and memorable, leaving YOU wanting more.

After decades of songwriting, casual performing, recording, and touring, Mountaindawg went International in 2007. The Mtndawg "Handmade" 2-CD set is scheduled for release on Mutt Records Summer 2008, and will be pleasing music lovers for years to come.
Mountaindawg Joe aka Jodawg, gets a great deal of his songwriting
inspiration from his mountain top home, and its beautiful
surroundings. "Dirt Road Studio" overlooks
miles of forests and valleys. Some famous things nearby: The
Russian River, the Pacific Ocean, Korbel Champagne Vineyards
and Sonoma Valley Wine Country.
MOUNTAINDAWG's band leader is
Joe "Jodawg" Johnson Johnson Joe is a singer,songwriter,
musician and artist. He has been playing and composing his
own music since he was 16 years old. His current project includes
him playing Electric & Acoustic Guitars, Mandolin, Resonator (simular to a DoBro) and
singing Vocals, in addition to playing some keyboards and
percussions once in awhile. Jodawg's moving music has a way of touching people, spreading smiles. In his past,
Joe has played Lead Guitar for various bands, including: Feast
of Friends (Hard Rock), Nunda Sisters (Melodic Rock). He has also played Mandolin & Lead Guitar in 2 Sonoma County Folk Rock bands,
Peggy day & The Gypsy Knights, and Erics Road Band with legendary Dickie
Peterson of BLUE CHEER. Mtndawg Joe sometimes referred
to as "Jodawg", but always billed as Mountaindawg, also performs
solo, acoustically. Joe has been performing 16+ years at numerous
venues, Festivals, private events.

Mark Eads
on Bass Guitar . Mark has excellent intuition with the Bass
Guitar, and an AA Degree in Recording Arts. He & Jodawg have a long term professional relationship
and close friendship, making music together, on and off, for over 10 years. Mark graduated from the well known Los
Medanos College Recording Arts Program in the East San Francisco
Bay Area. He spent some time as
an apprentice at a major professional recording studio, The
Plant, in the San Francisco Bay Area. Mark also does sound
engineering, including for the City of Fremont, festivals,
concerts, and events. Mark was the Bass guitarist for "Feast
of Friends" a popular hard rock band in the San Francisco
Bay Area in 1990's.
Fast Freddie Dean
on Drums and Backup Vocals. Freddie met Joe & Mark during
the summer of 2004, and he immediately fit right into MOUNTAINDAWG,
as if he has been making music with Joe & Mark for many years.
Freddies intense drumming innovations help make Mountaindawg
music stand out. He has been a percussion fan since he could
crawl, started playing Bongos at the age of seven, and Drums
in Middle School. Freddie has been in professional bands most
of his life, including: "Taker", "Vanishing Point", "Terror","Jake
Richmond Band", "Manny & The Maniacs", and "Mountain River". Freddie has been
performing everywhere from the largest venues around, to local
nightclubs & concert venues regularly for many years.
Mountaindawg
has various other musicians contributing to our live music,
including: Kelly Johnson on Backup Vocals and Angelina Gargano
on Backup Vocals and Harmonica. We like to bring up guests
at our performances, and often surprise the crowd with "who"
might show up for a song or two. In addition, we have performance
artists at some Mountaindawg events.
